Race overview
END-TOMBED  stands for Extreme North Dakota - Twelve hOur Mountain Bike of Enduring Delirium.  It is a 12 hour long 'lap style' ride on a ridiculously fun 10+ mile loop course at Turtle River State Park near Arvilla, ND.  Riders can choose to ride in the solo category, accumulating as many laps as possible before time runs out, or as part of a 2-4 person relay team, trading laps with their team-mates however they want.  Riders have access to a fabulous lodge with a huge fireplace so they can warm up if it is cold, take a nap, socialize, carve pumpkins, etc.  A great sound system playing a continuous mix of rider-chosen music keeps energy high, and electronic timing and live race updates via FaceBook and Twitter keeps allows for family and friends to keep track of the action even if they can't cheer their racers on in person.  And of course riders setting off on their last few laps after darkness are in for a special 'spooky' treat.  Come celebrate Halloween with us!  Check out the video links below to see action from previous races.

Official Race Rules (updated 10/19/2012)

Registration will include park entry fees, food and refreshment, entertainment, prize drawing, and some of the great swag you've come to expect at ENDracing events.  There will be an indoor venue available for relay team members (skeletons) waiting on their riders to stay warm and socialize.  Solo riders (zombies) are welcome to stop in between laps and revitalize themselves as well.

The race will be held in a standard lap format.  We anticipate laps will take riders anywhere from 45 - 60+ minutes to complete (depending on skill and fatigue levels), and your last lap needs to be finished within 12 hours to be counted.  Teams can have riders go in any order (i.e. a more keen rider can do two laps for every one a team-mate does).

The course will involve about 75% single and double track (with most of the single track being fun rolling terrain in and out of forests) and about 25% roads (both dirt and paved).  The single track is awesome stuff but not super technical, so it is definitely suitable for more recreational level riders.  Returning riders will be treated to some new terrain, as TRSP has recently opened up one of the most spectacular trails in the park to biking!

Prizes for top riders in all categories, assuming category goes at least three deep: Male Zombie, Female Zombie, coed Skeleton Army (S.A.), all male S.A., and all female S.A.

Refund Policy:  Sorry, there are no refunds of your registration fee if the race happens.  In event of severe weather, a modified course may be offered on the same day or an alternate date chosen.  Registered racers unable to make the new date would be offered credit towards another ENDracing event in an amount equal to 75% of the registration cost.  If the event is cancelled entirely due to weather or natural disaster, all registered racers will receive the 75% credit.  In the extremely unlikely event that the event is cancelled for other reasons (lack of participant numbers, for example), full refunds will be provided, of course.

Feel free to email (endracing at gmail dot com) with any questions....
Happy riding!
